Virtue Mirage — hyper-personalised shopping experience: a collage of storefronts and products with whole-store try-on, size advisor, visual mix and match, and styling features

Virtue Mirage: the hyper-personalised storefront.

Virtue Mirage is an AI virtual try-on platform built by Virtue Creative Studios, the Sydney fashion photography studio behind 500+ brands. Shoppers upload two photos once; every product in your store — womenswear, menswear and accessories — is then shown on their own avatar, at their true size, with honest fit guidance, AI styling and scene previews.

01 / Why we built it
Every store shows a model.
Your customer isn't one.

After fifteen years photographing e-commerce for Australian and international fashion brands, we kept hearing the same problems on every shoot. Shoppers can't see themselves — a size-16 customer is looking at a size-8 model. Sizing is guesswork, so shoppers order multiple sizes to be safe, and the wrong ones come straight back.

The missing piece was never a better photo. It was the customer. The only image that truly converts is the one with the shopper in it — so we built the platform that creates it, at scale, for every product in your store.

30%+

02 / How it works

Two photos. One avatar.
The whole store becomes them.

STEP 01

The digital twin

A shopper uploads two photos, once. Virtue Mirage reads their true size and measurements from the photos — no tape measure — and creates their avatar. The original photos are permanently deleted the moment the avatar exists, and the avatar is locked for 12 months to prevent impersonation or misuse.

STEP 02

The whole store becomes them

Every product image on your store now shows that shopper — their body, their true size, in your brand's styling and lighting. Not a sample-size model: them.

STEP 03

Every new drop, already on them

When you upload a new collection, each piece is pre-rendered on your customers automatically, before they even log in. Every drop becomes a personal event: "the new collection is already on you."

03 / The platform

Far more than a try-on.

01

See it on your real body

Every product at the shopper's true size, with a per-area fit and size guide answering "will this fit me?" honestly, from their measurements and your size chart.

02

The visual AI stylist

The Concierge doesn't just chat; it shows. "I need an outfit for a wedding" returns real looks from your range, styled on the shopper, and adds the full outfit to cart in one conversation.

03

Your outfit, our pieces

Shoppers add your bags, shoes and jewellery onto the outfit they're already wearing, from a single photo that self-deletes after the session.

04

See yourself anywhere

The beach wedding, the rooftop in Milan. Shoppers preview outfits in the place they'll actually wear them.

05

Complete the Look

The stylist pairs complementary pieces from your own range, on the shopper, and adds the lot in one tap.

06

Built for agentic shopping

When AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude shop on a customer's behalf, they find your products by semantic search and hand back a try-on link that lands on your store.

04 / What it means for your numbers
up to 23%

higher conversion — the guessing stops when shoppers see it on themselves.

up to 40%

fewer returns. Fit drives roughly 70% of apparel returns (McKinsey); try-on cuts them.

12–18%

bigger baskets from the AI stylist's complete-look selling.

Interactive styling also keeps shoppers on your site longer — engagement that search engines reward. McKinsey puts the broader prize plainly: brands that personalise well earn around 40% more revenue.

05 / Trust

Privacy isn't a feature.
It's the architecture.

Photos deleted instantly

Original photos are permanently deleted the instant an avatar is created — we never keep them.

Explicit opt-in only

Nothing is processed without clear consent, and guest try-on photos self-delete after the session.

No raw identities

Customers are keyed by an irreversible one-way hash — never by name or email — and can have everything deleted on request.

Built with GDPR, CCPA, the Australian Privacy Act and biometric-data laws like Illinois BIPA in mind.

07 / The studio

From the studio that shoots your photography.

Virtue Mirage is built by Virtue Creative Studios — the same Sydney team producing e-commerce photography, videography and motion for 500+ brands. The two work together: clean on-model photography is what makes great try-on renders possible, and Virtue Mirage subscribers receive 20% off on-model e-commerce photography at the studio.

08 / Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What is Virtue Mirage?

Virtue Mirage is an AI-powered virtual try-on platform for fashion e-commerce. It shows every product in a store on the shopper's own AI-generated avatar — their body, at their true size — and adds an AI stylist, fit guidance, scene previews and outfit building across the whole catalogue.

How do shoppers set it up?

Once, in about ninety seconds. They upload two photos; Virtue Mirage reads their size and measurements from the photos and generates their avatar. From then on the entire store — including every new drop — displays on them automatically.

What happens to customers' photos?

Original photos are permanently deleted the moment the avatar is created. Guest try-on photos self-delete after the session. Customers are identified by an irreversible one-way hash, never by name or email, and can request full deletion at any time.

Which e-commerce platforms does it support?

Shopify is live today, installing in minutes on any theme with no rebuild. BigCommerce and Magento (Adobe Commerce) are in final testing, and a REST API, JavaScript SDK and npm package cover headless and custom builds.

How is Virtue Mirage different from other virtual try-on tools?

Most tools stop at one garment on one photo. Virtue Mirage transforms the whole store: every product pre-rendered on each customer, new drops rendered before they log in, a visual AI stylist that builds complete outfits on them, and semantic search that answers AI shopping agents with try-on links back to your store.

Does it work for menswear and accessories?

Yes. Womenswear, menswear and accessories — including jewellery, bags, shoes and sunglasses. Shoppers can also try accessories over a photo of the outfit they're already wearing.
